A founder of Partners 4, Design, John is known as the idea man. For John, the idea starts with a relationship. He believes all successful projects begin there. He works to find a common language with clients to translate concepts into designs. That’s where the magic happens. John’s process works so well successive generations often return to P4D. The seeds of his considerable architectural vocabulary were sown early with a trip around the world. At 15 he was smitten by great architecture. John turned his love of great design into his life’s work. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Architecture and earned a bachelors degree in psychology and business administration from Gustavus Adolphus College. David M. Ostreim, AIA
Partner, Architect


David is one of the founders of Partners 4, Design that began with kitchen and bath projects conceived in an attic cedar closet. While the P4D team works today in a sleek showroom, David assures inspired and functional design remain a foundation. As a gifted draftsman, he designs to meet the sensibilities of each homeowner and project from concept to reality. He considers himself a coach of the collaborative and dynamic operation that is P4D. He nurtures beneficial partnerships with vendors whose products are in the P4D showroom. The innovative and award winning space David designed is an elegant reflection of the firm’s vast design expertise. David graduated from University of Minnesota School of Architecture. Andy knows functional and beautiful living spaces result from a pragmatic approach to finance and respect for solid design. He brings unique skills to the role of General Manager with a degree in accounting from Augsburg College and extensive management experience. Nicole Sirek, ASID, NCIDQ

Senior Project Manager

Nicole Sirek is the Senior Project Manager at P4D. She coordinates the countless details that make a for successful project. Nicole takes a design from thought to the reality and orchestrates the logistics between clients, contractors, designers and architects. Anne Newman, ASID  Designer/Sales

Anne Newman, ASID


Anne Newman offers over 20 years of experience in the design industry. With a degree in Interior Design from Kent State University, Anne worked as a Senior Designer at 3D/ International Architects in Houston and Ellerbe Becket in Minneapolis. As Principal of Newman Design Studio she specialized in residential design. She was Director of Interiors for David Heide Design Studio in Minneapolis. (Photo by e.l.)


Matt Plasencia  Designer/Sales

Matt Plasencia


Matt Plasencia went away to school and now he’s coming home to the Twin Cities to start his first job after graduation. He earned a  Master of Architecture from North Dakota State University. Plasencia wants to help create residential spaces where people can thrive. He thinks thoughtful rooms that acknowledge the rituals of daily life can do that. Plasencia feels fortunate to begin his career at a family owned business with strong community ties and to be part of the skilled P4D staff. Renovating a room or a house is a significant life experience and Plasencia likes being part of the process. The reason he chose architecture as his life’s work involves a conviction that the right room is important. Now that he’s earned his degrees, he’s happy to get back home and be near family and friends.


Lisa Pope, AKBD  Designer/Sales

Lisa Pope, AKBD


Lisa Pope combines her passion for all things culinary with an AKBD certification in kitchen and bath design. She recently joined P4D following a distinguished career as a national brand marketer and digital strategist. Lisa understands how clients use and want to use their kitchens.
